I suffer from a severe headache, I think it’s migraine. I’ve now had a headache since Sunday, now it’s Tuesday. I regularly take 3 different painkillers (4 times per day) plus muscle relaxants (3 times per day) since I suffer from chronic pain, my doctor prescribes those medications.
Is there a way to treat migraine naturally since the only migraine medicine available in Sweden can not be combined with my regular painkillers? I’ve noticed that if I take painkillers that contain a lot of caffeine the headache gets better for like 2 hrs, the it returns. The pain is screaming crazy pain. 10 on a scale from 0 to 10. I’m close to passing out and my vision is impaired. I know it’s not tension head ache, since I sometimes get those and I can tell the difference. Pls help!

I have had Migraine headaches since I was about 13. I am 29 now and for the last 9 months I have had them so severe that they are interupting my life. Family, work etc… I have been on dozens of medications, plus oxygen therapy for them with no success. Know my doctor wants to do Botox injections. My Insurance company has agreed to pay for them. But I am kind of reluctant to do it because of the side effects. I work as a nurse practitioner, and have several physicans as friends. But none of us has really heard much about Botox for Migraines. I found a couple of case studies on the web, but the were pretty skechy about the details. Has any one had it done ? Or know someone who has? Or any place I might find more information about it. I really want to find out if it works. I am getting pretty desperate for relief and get back to my life.
Thanks Much!

ok, to make a long story short..
I have been suffering from severe headaches since I was 15 (I am 21 now) and I had heard everything from they are cluster headaches, stress, tension headaches, migraines, not wearing my glasses enough etc. Well about three years ago I started having severe pain in my neck and shoulders and no amount of pain medicine would help. Well, fast forward 3 years.. I found out in January after basically handing the dentist the diagnosis, that I have TMJ. He said my jaw pops out of socket when I open my mouth and my teeth are so misaligned that I can never fully close my mouth because one side will always have a gap. He gave me a retainer which made things significantly worse, so I stopped using it. In June I found out I had a misaligned c1 and began seeing a chiropractor and even tried having a therapeutic massage which only made things even worse. I also had an MRI of my spine to ensure I didn’t have any disk issues, it came back normal. Yesterday the pain in my shoulders, neck, back of my head/ upper spine and ear was so severe I left work early and went to a doctor I am already familiar with at an Urgent Care center. Well, basically he is almost positive all of the things I have been experiencing are from a severe case of untreated/ mistreated TMJ. I already had a consultation with the doctor who took out my wisdom teeth (before I knew the TMJ was causing my shoulder and neck pain and my headaches) and he said at the time the mouth guard was the way to go. Well, apparently is isn’t and I have headaches almost every 2-4 days that are so severe I literally cannot do anything but sit around either laying down or with a heating pad on it. What are some other possible solutions for my TMJ? I am welcome to all opinions at this point. Like I said, I am 21 and I feel like I am 80. I just want my life back. Thank you everyone for your help and for listening to my story, I really appreciate it.

Long story:
Two weeks ago, I came down with a migraine. It came and went, but two days later it returned and wouldn’t leave. Sometimes it was severe, other times it wasn’t so bad. The pain traveled around my face and head, sometimes shooting -through- my head as if someone stuck a needle straight through. During those moments, the pain was incapacitating. Sometimes there was nausea. Leg pain began to develop.
I visited a doctor and she took two vials of blood to run tests. She said everything looked normal, but I was dehydrated and they detected a urinary tract infection. She said the dehydration caused the headaches, but couldn’t explain the leg pain. As for the infection, I had no idea I had one! I was given antibiotics and pain medication. I’ve since taken all the antibiotics and my headache is beginning to hurt -despite- the pain medication.

I’m a naturally tense person and I also suffer from migraines. For the past few months, neck pain has also worked its way in with and in between the migraines. I’ve been to a general practitioner and a neurologist and all they could give me was some muscle relaxers that don’t really do anything (we’ve already ruled out their being regular tension headaches). I’m scheduled for a CT scan next month, but in the meantime is there any sort of routine/technique that can subside the pain (besides Vikadin and Vikaprofin) before we can get a more accurate diagnosis?

People around the world experience various migraine headache symptoms. Here are some of the most common ones that come on when you are experiencing a headache, as well as some symptoms that warn you a migraine is about to attack.
6 Migraine Headache Symptoms…
Pain – Perhaps one of the most common symptoms of migraine headaches is an intense, throbbing pain in the temple or forehead, around the eyes or at the back of the head.
Visual disturbances – Many people have reported visual disturbances like the appearance of zigzag lines or a large dark spot or hole in their vision.
Stomach disorder – Often times, symptoms of migraine include nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. These, of course, could be attributable to other types of illness, but long-term migraine sufferers can attest to experiencing them with almost every migraine attack.
Sensitivity to light or sound – This is also one of the most common symptoms, which is why keeping your eyes closed in a dark, quiet room can be very effective at getting rid of the migraine.
Facial pallor – Many times, people’s faces become very pale when they are experiencing a migraine headache. White as a ghost, and deathly pale can best descripe this migraine headache symptom.

I have had very severe sinus headached for about 7months. Only pain on my left side. Gets worse when I lie down, and affects my vision on my left eye. I take approximately 30 sinus headache pills a day. I take 2-4 pills every 2-4 hrs, even at night I have to wake up to take them. They are tearing up my stomach very bad. I think I’ve developed an ulcer from them b/c I vomitt all time, especially after I eat or drink soda. I been treated for sinus infections and migraines. I have yet to find anything that helps. I also use the “Nasa Flo” system which is a saline solution rinse. No Help. Can anyone please give me some suggestions for something, medicine or natural, to try.
