Let me start by saying Please, do not suggest, any kind of Commercial food, that is sold in Grocery Stores or Stores like Walmart. Foods like Purina, Pedigree, Eukanuba, Science Diet, Iams, Beneful, Etc…, because I refuse to give that “Road Kill”, to my Chi’s.
All of my Chi’s were eating Canidae All Life Stages for a long time and doing great on it. When Canidae changed their formula, my Chi’s were still eating the Canidae Dry, but had started losing weight, so I switched them to California Natural, Chicken and Rice Dry. Their weight is now perfect, within 1 month of the change and they have not had any problems with the California Natural! My other Tiny Chihuahua Zoe, has Liver Disease and is limited, according to her vet, on the types of foods, that she is allowed to eat, because of the effect the food will have on her Liver. Just so all of you, that aren’t familiar with who Tiny Zoe is, this is Little Zoe! She was the Runt of a normal litter!

Zoe was eating Canidae Chicken and Rice Wet Food at the time also, because that is all Zoe would eat!The vet nor I, had no idea Canidae had changed their formula at the time ! I went to open a can of Canidae Wet, to feed Zoe one day and when I opened the can, I not only immediately noticed, that the canned food had a very foul odor to it, but also that the texture of the food looked very different and that’s when I found out the formula was changed, so I refused to give Zoe anymore Canidae Wet Food and immediately took Zoe off of it! I immediately that day, went to the feed store and put her on Wellness Chicken and Sweet Potato Wet instead, which the vet approved and she’s doing great on! I will be keeping Zoe, on the Wellness. She’s doing very well on it, and loves it! For my other Chi’s, that are eating dry food, do you think, that I should stay with the California Natural dry food, because they are doing so well on it? Do you think that is a healthy enough food for them? I would prefer to buy a dry food, that has the first ingredients as meat. I don’t know if I should switch them again to another brand that’s better for them, with the same basic protein content in it. What do you think, when I go to get more dry food tonight? Should I stay with the California Natural or should I switch again to something healthier in a dry food for them? I don’t really like, or think it’s a good idea, to keep switching foods, so I just wanted your opinion and your thoughts of, if I should switch again to a different dry food, or if your recommendation is to stay with the California Natural? If you think it would be healthier for me to switch them to something else, which food do you recommend, that should I switch them too, since vets aren’t that great at recommending good foods except, garbage Iams and Science Diet? I was thinking Blue Buffalo, but when I went to Dog Food Analysis, Blue Buffalo also has 4 stars! I would be so grateful, for anyone, that knows a little about dog nutrition to please tell me what you think I should do!
ADD: Please forgive me if this question, is a little confusing! Last night I suffered from a Severe Migraine Headache and Severe Exhaustion and went to the ER. It’s been a very tough year and I guess it caught up to me! What a way to spend Christmas and your Birthday, Huh? I was put on medication, that I’m not used to and I’m a little groggy, so I’m sorry it this doesn’t make much sense! I’m also sorry it’s so long, but this is the only way, I could explain it! I appreciate any advice or suggestions that you can give me on this! Thanks!

I’m only 14 years old and I suffer from severe migraines, I started getting them 2 years ago and have been getting them ever since. I would say I’ve had about 20 migraines in 2 years. I’m just wondering if there is anything I could do to reduce my chances of getting one, as I went to the doctors and they gave me a powerful drug used to stop migraines, and that didn’t even do anything. When I get migraines I have a line in my eye that is blurry and basically I can’t see properly, and then eventually after about 20-30 minutes that goes away, and I get the painful headache. This is really annoying and I’m wondering if there is anything I can do?

I have a 13 year old daughter who suffers from upper-GI problems. Her Doctor has been treating her for acid reflux. she takes Nexium am and pm along with watching her diet, etc. now this seems to be working.

however, when her stomach is not bothering her she suffers from headaches…… puzzling. A Friend called and shared a similar situation of a girl her age. It was concluded that she suffered from what is called “reverse migraine”. she was treated with Topomax and all symptoms are gone.

I have several headaches for the last year and a half, 98% of them are like this constant pain, not throbbing, I don’t have sensitivity to light, neither nausea or dizziness.

the constant pain goes away after I sleep, I also get often a lot of pain in my upper back and tender spot on my neck that if I press I feel a headache and sometiems it even alleviates the headache a
bit

my headaches are 95% one sided, though I had bilateral, they all seem to travel up my head from my neck and I know when I am gonna get one because the pain moves up my neck slowly takes a few several minutes to go up my head and slowly progress into a painful headache, they don’t come suddenly.

I have a solid pain in my head, and the doctor said that it is migraine.
I have the following symptoms:
1- Very strong half headache
2- When the headache comes I feel that I want to vomit.

When I take Imigran tablets which they said it is dangerous, the pain disappears after 2 hours and everything will be ok.

I have three Questions:
1- Is it Migraine?
2- When I have such headache, the next day I go to the toilet 4 times and stool heavily. “could my headache be related to this?”
3- Does the drug i use cause strokes?

I get either a headache or a migraine every day. I haven’t kept track of what has brought them on, because at this point I am so tired of it. I also have a pressure point on my neck a little behind my ear, whenever I put pressure on it or something jerks it, it triggers a migraine or just hurts a lot.

Some background, I have had headaches or migraines since I was a kid (I’m 32 now) over time they started getting worse in intensety and more frequent. I have had several MRI’s but they come back fine. I have tried about 20 different preventative meds. I am on Topamax and Depakote daily right now. For pain I take toradol shots for the less severe and for the more severe headaches I take Fioricet w/ codeine. I don’t take the pain medication to much during the week because I don’t want to get rebound headaches or have my body get used to the medication. I have tried the headache diets, got extra sleep, less sleep, excercised more, then less, lost weight, had blood work done. I am making sure to give everything a chance to work but they don’t. Please anyone out there help me with any ideas you may have!!!!!

I am in need of some information & where I can go to find information in medical literature regarding electrical shock. My precious (a young surgical RN) daughter-in-law experienced a serious electrical shock at work (in an operating room). To this point, I have not talked to her to get more details but she is still very ill from this. She has migraine headaches, abdominal cramps, tingling in her arm & etc. I am very worried about her. Some type of equipment malfunctioned & it destroyed the equipment & severely shocked her.
I am not certain of what tests she has had done & all, as she is sleeping all the time from the exhaustion & too ill to be up much.
I just need medical information so I can give her to make sure she gets proper tests & such & is properly informed as to what all she needs checked out.
She has never yet had children & wonder if this will affect her eggs?
Please help. She is too ill to research this & my son is very busy & away some.
