She has had a migraine all week. She is roughly 13 weeks in. Her doctor prescribed vicodin, but it’s not working. Any ideas on soothing the headache without medication?

I have been taking Tylenol with codeine, the migraines are a serious issue, but the Tylenol 3 is not working as well as it was so he suggested smoking pot occasionally to help take the pain away, as that is what i do when i am not pregnant. He said that marajauna smoke is no more harmful than tobacco smoke. He is a doc from Mayo Clinic.

Are there any reliable sites that can corroborate this, or not so much?
its true, i have been hospitalized three times so far for the headaches during this pregnancy.

I am only allowed to take Tylenol and it simply does not work during a severe headache or migraine. How do I manage it? Any pointers will be appreciated. Thanks.

My brother is having a VERY severe migraine headache happening from a scale 1-10 and is around a 9 and a half. we are wondering is there any treatment to stop this headache!!??

Migraine is a type of vascular headache caused by the blood vessels dilating and constricting in the head. When the blood vessels dilate, they cause severe pain and during pregnancy, the blood volume increases and hence the migraine headache attacks. The general symptoms of migraine during pregnancy are the same as for other migraines like, nausea, blurred vision or visual disturbances, severe throbbing pain on side of the head and so on.

I am on Day 5 of a migraine? I did not know they could last this long? I even went to the hospital, they did a ct scan and said it was a migraine. Just worried?
