I’ve recently noticed that I tend to get migraines at work on Friday afternoons. At first, I thought I was coming down with the flue because the nausea was worst than the headache. Then I’d notice a headache would start to kick in around 12:00pm and progressively get worse. By17:00hrs I’d be vomiting (especially if I had to drive home from work). Has anyone else noticed a trend with their headaches outside of food triggers?

I am a twenty year old female and about a couple of months ago I started feeling a pain near my right arm, but I couldn’t determine specifically where the pain was coming from. I thought it could possibly be a lymph node so I went to my GYN for a check up. She reasurred me that my lymph nodes were fine and that the pain was probably related to my joint/muscle and suggested that I probably “slept wrong” or did some kind of activity that aggravated the area. I had been asymptomatic for about 2 months following that and the pain practically disappeared. Recently, however, I have been suffering from terrible headaches, pain in my joints and they crack all the time (especially the shoulder, elbow, hands, knees and ankles), I’ve had low grade fevers, back pain, malaise, loss of appetite and I lost about 6 lbs in 2 weeks. I went to the ER because my pain only got worse and I was on the verge of tears and they did a CT for my brain, blood pathology, and urinalysis. They said the CT came back negative, the blood tests came back within normal ranges and the urine was negative for UTI and my kidneys were functioning well, I just had mild dehydration. My doctor said that my headaches were migraines/tension headaches that were stress related and that all the other symptoms were indicative of a virus.
If I had a virus wouldn’t by WBC count be elevated? And why would I have other symptoms such as joint pain, etc?

I’m not generally depressed, but today, before my head hurt and before I started seeing funny spots (but not before seeing some flashing lights), I just felt like jumping off a bridge. Other times before a nasty migraine, I’ll feel like chewing off people’s heads. The I-just-want-to-die feelings are rather frightening because they are so strong and so out of left field.
As soon as I recognized them as prodromal symptoms, I took my rescue meds. I’m glad my head doesn’t hurt too much, but all sounds and lights still hurt a lot.

I am 21 weeks pregnant and am prescribed Tylenol 3 (with codeine) for migraine headaches. I only take a half a pill when needed but I have been taking them everyday! Has anyone else taken this much during pregnancy, what happened, was it okay? I am prescribed 1 to 2 pills every 4-6 hours as needed and the doctor says it’s fine while pregnant. I know doctors don’t know everything and was wondering others opinions. Maybe people who have been here done that or know a lot about this!! Thanks all!!!

I have been taking this pill for about 9 months, but I’ve noticed that I have had more migraines than usual (and WORSE ones, too!) For example, I had one last night that hurt so badly it woke me up, I took 2 advil, which did nothing, woke up this morning and it was STILL hurting, so I took Excedrin. Now that it’s been 24 hours, I am still having migraine symptoms. I’ve never had a migraine last this long before. I think it might be the Loe24! It’s a great BCP, and I don’t want to go off it, but I am starting to worry a bit.

I have been a migraine sufferer for 6 years now and I have constant headaches everyday. I also have alot of neck and shoulder pain. I do have scoliosis went to physical therapy many times it helped alot but I only get to go 3 months out of the year with my insurance. My migraines have been so bad in the last week I’ve wound up in the Emergency Room and Immediate care 2 days in a row last week. It got better for a day then last night another migraine but finally it eased up I took a sleeping pill and woke up feeling alot better just a headache, shoulder and neck pain today but no migraine Thank Goodness! I am going to my doctor tomorrow finally it takes forever to get an appointment I was just wondering to all the migraine sufferers out there did you find any relief? What has been helping you? The dr at immediate care said I needed to see neurologist and be prescribed an antidepressant to help prevent them from happening. Thanks for anyones input!

I’m suffering migraine from last 25 years, and had used all kind of options to get relief e.g. herbal and homeopathy, rehab, exercise, and diet control but nothing worked for me. I hardly ever remember any day without the headache.
Many people are suggesting me to try botox, but I want to know if anyone of you had tried this injection?

I am 37 years old, 2 big kids (pregnancies were both in my 20′s) and I have migraines during my period. I haven’t always had these. This started about 3 years ago when I first turned 35. (guess my hormones changed) I have tried everything! Tylenol & ibuprofen are a joke and only caused me to have acid reflux instead of helping my headache. I got off birth control pills and my hubby had a vasectomy to try to help…still no good.I cannot take any of the migraine prescription medicines as I have mitral valve prolapse and a heart arrythmia. I take long hot baths & use ice on my head which helps temporarily. These headaches are taking over my life. They are debilitating and I cannot work or drive when I have them. If anyone has any suggestions or something that has worked for them please let me know!!
I have already been to the doctor and it has definitely been determined to be only related with my periods. And yes, I do have the aura symptoms..usually a week before my headache starts.

My Ob/Gyn told me its safe to take and prescribes it to me for daily headaches and migraines…im freaking out because i read so many bad things about taking meds during pregnancy. My doctor is telling me its completely safe and its safer than taking advil or such…i tried tylenol it just doesnt work for me and im allregic to aspirin.
My question is did your baby turn out fine?
Im 25 weeks.
She prescribed it to me when I was I think in my 10th week… and kept prescribing it … she still says its ok to take it but im just afraid .

I have already had 4 jaw surgeries (2 arthroscopic and 2 open). My disks have been put in place, but I am still having a lot of pain. Don’t get me wrong, the last 2 surgeries (the open ones) have been great, I no longer have migraines…but I still am having problems with eating food and headaches. I want to find a treatment that doesn’t involve a lot of medications as I have done that before. Thanks for any help anyone has to offer.
My TMJ is caused by facial trauma from years ago and the resulting joint damage from years of letting it go before we realized that it was more than grinding and clenching at night. I went through years of nightguards already with no success because of the joint being displaced. Any alternative methods would be great.
