Migraine Auras and You

A migraine aura is a particular category of prodrome, or premonition, that signals the coming of a migraine. It is an indication or cycle of signs that let migraineurs, people who bear returning migraines, know in advance that a migraine headache is about to make itself felt.

Aura effects develop over about five minutes and generally occur from twenty minutes to an hour prior to the inception of a headache. They are an indication of what used to be called “classic migraine”. Recently, medical experts have moved to a more scientifically precise term, migraine-with-aura. Only about 15-20% of migraineurs regularly are inflicted with any kind of aura before a headache begins.

Question by Jessica: What is a good way to get rid of a migraine headache without taking any medications and isn’t expensive?
I am going into a breast reduction surgery in ten days (January 26th) and can’t take any medications except Tylenol which I’ve built up an immunity to so it doesn’t work. I suffer from migraine headache and was wondering if anyone knew any CHEAP ways to get rid of migraine headaches.
