Does anyone who get migraines notice a trend?

I’ve recently noticed that I tend to get migraines at work on Friday afternoons. At first, I thought I was coming down with the flue because the nausea was worst than the headache. Then I’d notice a headache would start to kick in around 12:00pm and progressively get worse. By17:00hrs I’d be vomiting (especially if I had to drive home from work). Has anyone else noticed a trend with their headaches outside of food triggers?

The Nuisance Called the Headache

Typically a headache can be called a pain in the head or the upper part of the neck. This is one of the most common of pains that is suffered by a majority of people at some point in their lives. Moreover the head is the one part of the body that often suffers pain. Basically headaches can be categorized into three; namely the primary headaches, the secondary headaches and the cranial neuralgia, facial pain or various other headaches.

The primary category of headaches can be migraine headaches, tension headaches, cluster headaches etc. Of these the migraine headache is very widespread. Both sexes suffer migraines but after puberty it is said that women are more prone to migraines than men. A rarer kind of headache is the cluster headache which is a sharper kind of pain that seems to occur many times a day and goes on for many months. It is found more in men between 28 and 30 years of age.

Randomly I start seeing spots. Its only a little bit at first but then it gets really hard to see and I get terrible headaches. I’m not over exagerating either about how bad the headaches are. sometimes they’re so bad I start throwing up.The last time it happened, My hand started getting numb. We have two different nurses at my school. One seemed to think there is a chance is I have diabetes. The other one thinks that its nothing more than a migraine. It hasn’t happened in about 6 months. The first couple times I thought i was just dehydrated and so i didnt want to go to the doctors, but my mom said the next time it happens she’s taking me to the doctors. A couple years ago I got blood taken at the hospital for something completely different, and they didnt say anything about me having diabetes. Could it just show up, or how does that work? What do u think could be wrong with me?

Over the last few years my PMS symptoms have been getting worse and worse and going on for longer each month – I also get a lot of headaches and migraines and am depressed. Could all this be the start of menopause (at age 39)?

Bad migraine after being in the sun. Help!?

I went on a hike earlier and was up on the mountain for about 4.5 hours, in mild heat (but very breezy) and sun. On my way home I got a migraine that I’ve now had for seven hours.

I have a few prescription migraine medications due to chronic headaches I’ve had for 3 months (no known cause yet), including Amitriptyline and Sumatriptan. I’ve taken both medications since the onset of this migraine with no relief. Could I possibly have heat exhaustion? My headache is the only symptom of it that I had until about an hour ago when I became nauseated, but it’s bad and I can’t get rid of it even with prescription medication.

Migraine headaches are a very debilitating condition to endure.  The symptoms involved can ruin your daily activities and make life very difficult if migraines persist.  Treatment options are varied for migraine headaches.  Mainstream medicine will often combat migraine headaches with medications which are not always warranted.  If you suffer from migraine headaches you should consider chiropractic care to help with the symptoms and seek to attack the cause.

Migraine headaches are characterized by a wide variety of interfering symptoms.  Migraines involve moderate to severe pain on one or both sides of the head, pulsating or throbbing pain, pain that is worsened by physical activity and which interferes with your daily activities, and as well as nausea with or without vomiting, and sensitivity to light or sound.  An untreated migraine can last anywhere from four to 72 hours.  Some people may experience auras and have these headaches several times a month.
