I have had a headache for a year now, with a severe migraine on top of that about 4-7 times a week. No migraine medication works. Neither does Ativan, Naproxyn, Exel, Axert, Elavil and a few others I dont recall the name of. I have short term relief from Toradol sometimes, and Percocet if it doesn’t make me throw up and pass out. I have been leaving it untreated as taking Percocet everyday just isn’t doable. I had an MRI in November that was normal.
When it began, my entire body would tingle on and off in different spots for five months. I had never had a migraine or lots of headaches prior. Before the headache started I had an ectopic pregnancy and was given the drug Methotrexate.

my 5 year old daughter has just recently started getting what I’m almost positive are migraine headaches (i’ve worked in trauma icu for 5 years and get them myself).
I’m in agony over this as I’ve never heard of a child so young getting these. She has an appt to see a neurologist but not for another 2 weeks and she just had a nasty attack on Friday.
does anyone have a child going through this? what will they do for my baby?

besides Excedrin or other OTC medications. Or presribed. Looking for homeopathic remedies. Massages do not work. I have tried pressure points and YES I have been to the doctor about these.
Obviously you didn’t read my question.

it’s a headache that comes and goes, and it’s not just a normal headache, nor is it a migraine (i have suffered from them for most of my life, i’ve only been free of them the past few years)
it’s localized, meaning it’s only ever at one particular spot (midway between my ear and the back of my head on the right side, pretty much in the middle between the top and bottom of my skull) it comes and goes, doing anything strenuous or anything that results from a rise in blood pressure seems to be what triggers it, it pulses, it’ll be hurting for 10-30 mins, then stop, then it will come back again…
it’s been going on for nearly a week now…

Are there any home remedies out there that work. I really don’t want to take any prescription meds.

I’m 16 and have been suffering from migraines with Aura since I was 11. The migraines were really bad last summer where basically the whole summer I would lay in my bed waiting for the always scary aura to go away and then be greeted with a painful headache and nausea. I cannot find a consistent “trigger” before a migraine, except for the fact that they seem to be worse in the summer. However they are not gone in the fall and winter. I’m at a lose of what to do. I’ve only been taking medications such as advil, tylenol, and ibuprofen, but they seem to give me little to no relief. I’m at the point of trying some prescription medications and would like to know whats best, and if anyone has had a similar problem of not being able to find a trigger. I’m basically looking for anything right now. Oh, and last summer when they were really bad I was seeing a chiropractor, so I’ve kind of ruled that option out.
Thanks!!!
Thanks, Kathy for the advice. I have had and MRI and talked with a neurologist so no worries there, just no help sadly

I have the worst headache? migraine? It has lasted over 24 hours now and I know that Excedrin will calm it down at least but I’m not sure if it is safe. I’m three months pregnant and Tylenol just isn’t working. Anyone know if Excedrin once in a while is safe?

I’m very sensitive to paint fumes, they can trigger week-long migraine episodes in me, if not a dizzying, throbbing headache for however long it feels like staying for…
What are some ways I can get rid of the fumes aside from airing out the space as much as I can?
Thanks for any answers
Oh, and, I’m not looking to MASK the fumes – I don’t even mind the smell of paint – I’m looking to get RID of them. Faster, at least. Thanks heaps
